FARMINGTON — The third annual EdCamp Western Maine educator unconference is set for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Mt. Blue High School. A snow date is set for Sunday, Feb. 5.
This free professional development opportunity is offered to empower educators of all kinds to share their vision for high-quality teaching and learning. The program is based around a simple idea — let teachers come together and talk and share.
This “unconference” is organized by a team that includes educators from the UMF College of Education faculty, and teachers from the Mt. Blue, Mountain Valley, St. Dominic Academy and Wells high schools.
Mt. Blue’s class of 2018 will sell soup and sandwich during lunch for $5, proceeds will benefit the class. Additionally, childcare services will be offered by donation. Contact hours are available for educators pursuing recertification.
