Waterville Junior High School recently held its annual Geography Bee. Twenty-one students, the top scorers from their social studies classes, participated.

Advancing to the final round were Keya Amundsen, Peter Butera, Colette Carillo, Owen Evans, William Jackson, Finn Kelly, Vincent Palmer, Nick Poulin, Danica Serdjenian and Madyson Tortorella.

Finn Kelley, a sixth grader, was runner-up. He is son of Sharon Corwin and Martin Kelly.

Vincent Palmer, an eighth grader, is school champion. He is the son of Jennifer Spencer.

Vincent has taken an online qualifying test at the junior high and hopes to qualify for the State Geography Bee held in April.

The Bee Team was Lisa Evans, Bee Mistress; Janeice Holmes and Mary Violette, judges; Cam Bishop, timer and scorekeeper; and Julie Schoenthaler, Geography Bee coordinator.
