WATERVILLE — Thomas College students will host a Children’s Reading Day in observance of National TRIO Day from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Thomas College library in the Alfond Academic Center.

Community members are encouraged to bring their children for story time. This is a free event, with light refreshments available.

National TRIO Day is a day that programs across the country give back to the community in various ways.

Funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant, the program provides academic support and training to low-income, first generation students, and/or who have an identified disability. The benefits include academic coaching, financial literacy training, college planning support for families, and more.
