Maine State Police say the death of a Belmont man whose body was found Feb. 8 was a homicide, and they are still investigating the circumstances of his death.

Investigators determined that Edwin Littlefield, 43, whose body was discovered outside a house on Kendall Corner Road in Waldo, was stabbed to death, Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said Tuesday.

Police are still collecting evidence and conducting interviews to determine what led to the stabbing.

No arrests have been made, McCausland said.
