Congratulations to the Maranacook High School boys and girls Nordic teams for winning the Class B state races on Feb. 25. It was incredibly hopeful and inspiring to watch all of these young people from around our state pour their hearts into these races. Knowing the personal challenges of some of these Maranacook racers, and the commitment they have made to each other, makes this an even more newsworthy event. We were disappointed the media did not give this story more coverage.

The Maranacook Nordic teams succeed because of the year-round commitment of our highly skilled coach and wax team. Our son would not be who he is today without these extraordinary mentors.
