McGuire is a Cony High School junior enrolled in the early childhood education program. Her instructor Erin Sirois said in a news release from the center, “Kassidy’s classwork, lab work and attendance are exceptional. Next year McGuire plans to attend the second year of the program and to pursue a career working with young children in the future.

Trevino is a Cony High School junior enrolled in the architecture and engineering design program. “Dylan demonstrated outstanding professionalism as he worked diligently to transport and set up the Architecture and Engineering Design SkillsUSA Local Showcase and Competition display. He presented to visitors the wide range of class projects, including his 12.5 foot long by 3.5 foot tall model arched truss drawbridge, helping to earn him a gold medal,” his instructor Robert Sherman said in the release.

He plans to attend a postsecondary pre-engineering program and pursue a career in robotics or 3-D printing.
