Fish Migration tour, 10 a.m. in Westbrook

The Presumpscot Regional Land Trust is leading a tour of Mill Brook and the annual alewife migration. The two-hour event will be led by alewife experts from the University of Southern Maine’s Environmental Science and Policy Department. No cost. Call 839-4633 or visit prlt.org.

Free Fishing for kids, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Jefferson

The Midcoast Conservancy will hold a Hooked on Fishing event where kids ages 5 to 15 can learn to fish with experienced volunteer fishermen and boaters as their personal guides. All equipment is provided. To learn more, call 389-5150.

Family Dairy Day, 9 a.m. June 25 in Portland

The Maine Dairy Promotion Board and Maine dairy farmers are hosting the inaugural Cowabunga 5K and Family Dairy Day in Portland. The event will feature a 5K run and walk, local farmers, baby calves and educational demonstrations. Proceeds will benefit the Howard C. Reiche Community School’s food pantry, which operates through the summer as part of the Milk2MyPlate program. The day starts with the race around Back Cove at 9 a.m. Cost to register for the 5K is $10 for children after June 1, and $20 for adults. The Family Dairy Day is free.
