FARMINGTON — A Wilton man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk Wednesday evening after crashing into a truck carrying Poland Springs water, police said.
Benjamin Reeves, 32, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence after the crash on Town Farm Road, which was reported at 7:30 p.m., said Farmington police Deputy Chief Shane Cote.
Reeves was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger north on the road, Cote said, when he crossed the center lane and hit a truck carrying Poland Springs water that was traveling in the opposite direction.
Diane Tripp, 45, of Harrison, was driving the truck at the time of the crash.
Neither driver reported any injuries, but both vehicles sustained enough damage that they had to be towed, Cote said.
Reeves was taken to Franklin County Jail and was released Thursday morning on $250 cash bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court July 25.
