I am in hopes that this year more work will be put towards improving the condition of the grounds surrounding the Superior Court building in Skowhegan. In the past few years, the lawns have been an embarrassment to the town. This is the seat of our county’s judicial system, and the building is frequently on TV when there are important cases.
I hope that more time and money will be spent in making the grounds as attractive as they used to be. If money is an issue, perhaps the inmates of the county jail could be brought down to do some of the work. There are also Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops that could volunteer their time.
Please don’t let another summer go by without improving the grounds of that beautiful old building.
