Lincoln County Historical Association will host an “It’s Our History” contest for Lincoln County residents between the ages of 10 to 13 and 14 to 18. Participants can explore the historical association’s three historic sites and create a five- to 10-minute video based on their research about the significance of the sites in the history of our county.
Participants can work on their own, or with a group; each participant is limited to one entry. To register, visit www.lincolncountyhistory.org and download the registration form. The form must be mailed by June 30.
The website contest page will detail the guidelines. Videos will be judged on creativity, adherence to the guidelines, historical accuracy, and video quality. Two $100 prizes will be awarded: one for participants ages 10-13, the other for ages 14-18.
Winners will be announced at the Lincoln County Historical Association’s Summer Social on Aug. 26.
