WATERVILLE — The new bi-weekly curbside recycling collection program will begin the week of July 10. The City’s Public Works Department will pick up recycling on regular trash collection days. Because of equipment capacity limitations, holiday collections for recycling will not take place. Trash will continue to be collected the day after a holiday. Collection schedules may also be affected by weather conditions, unexpected breakdowns or other factors. Notice of changes or cancellations will be posted on the city’s website and Facebook page.

Recycling materials must be placed in solid containers, either trash cans or bins marked “Recycling.” Materials in plastic trash bags or shopping bags will not be accepted.

A new six-month recycling calendar is available online at www.waterville-me.gov or at City Hall and the Public Works Department. For further information, call 680-4744 or visit the City of Waterville’s web page.
