WAYNE — The Cary Memorial Library’s 6th annual 5K Walk/Run Race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday Aug. 5, at the Wayne Elementary School. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.
For runners this is primarily a flat course with one good hill. There will be an official timer and prizes for top finishers. Walkers are welcome, with fast walkers in front, children, pets and strollers toward the back. This is a family friendly event with prizes for all participating children. Spectators are welcome.
The Cary Library Lobster Roll Lunch, with lots of fun activities, will starts at 10 a.m.
Registration forms can be picked up at the library or downloaded at cary-memorial.lib.me.us.
The registration fee is $15, all proceeds will benefit the library. Mail the forms/checks to the Cary Memorial Library, P.O. Box 127, Wayne, ME 04284 or drop them off.
