Well, the governor and the Legislature have taught our up-and-coming voters a valuable lesson recently by rescinding the 3 percent surtax on wealthy Mainers that would have funded education. The surtax was voted for by a majority of our voters, but was swept under the gubernatorial and legislative rugs, respectively.
The moral of this story? Don’t bother to vote. It does not matter or count, young people. Go have a beer instead of a vote.
