There has been talk that Sen. Susan Collins is considering a run for governor. I would urge her to do so. She represents what is wrong with politics and Washington. She has the name recognition and big money donors behind her. She knows how to play the game and the voters like a fiddle. It would be a great day for the country if she left the Senate.
As a Maine conservative voter, I feel betrayed by Senator Collins. She has put a “R” beside her name and yet she governs as a liberal.
She knows full well by running as a Republican and voting like a liberal, the conservative voters of this state have no choice but to continue to elect her even when we can’t stand her. We certainly can’t bring ourselves to vote for someone left of her.
This is one of reasons the Republican’s aren’t able to govern. We have to many politicians who have no true principles and continue to sell out their constituents’ in order than to remain in power.
