Why do newspapers, including this one, repeatedly show portraits of political figureheads like Donald Trump, Paul LePage and others when we know all too well what they look like?

Why also do they show pictures or mugshots of perpetrators, giving them unnecessary minutes of infamy?

Why not show positive news and photos on front pages, reserving negativity to small print on back pages?

Relatively simple, meaningful things help project a better attitude and sense of community while keeping us locally informed.
