AUGUSTA — The Children’s Discovery Museum recently was selected as one of 200 nationwide causes to compete in State Farm’s Neighborhood Assist voting phase for a $25,000 award.

If awarded, the museum will use the funds to launch a new program called “Museum without Walls,” a mobile museum that will bring interactive exhibits to schools, libraries, farmers’ markets and community events throughout central Maine.

Each person can place 10 allowable votes daily through Aug. 25.

For more information or to vote, visit www.neighborhoodassist.com.

For more information about the museum, contact Emilie Knight, community programs and relations coordinator at 577-2488 or emilie@childrensdiscoverymuseum.org.
