I would like to congratulate the Waterville Public Library for being awarded the National Medal for Museum and Library Service.
I and countless others in our city benefit from the library staff’s conscientious work to develop many programs to reach each patron. I have witnessed staff members transform the lives of community members both young and old, from resume writing to job searches, from creative comic book writing to art projects, from listening to concerns to problem solving.
Waterville Public Library is a very special place where incredible people gather and magic happens. Walls come down, diversity is embraced, and our community is at it’s best. Waterville Public Library is “The Heart of Our City.” Congratulations on this incredible honor.
