FALMOUTH — Mark Plummer shot a 1-under par 71 Wednesday at the Falmouth Country Club to win the Maine Senior Amateur golf championship.
Plummer finished the two-day tournament at even par, following his 73 Tuesday at The Woodlands.
It was Plummer’s fifth state senior title, the last coming in 2012.
Defending champion Ron Dery finished second, two shots back, with a 73 both days.
Plummer had a one-shot lead and opened the door with a bogey on the par-3 16th. But Dery also bogeyed the hole. Dery then bogeyed the par-5 17th, allowing Plummer to coast in.
Daniel Falcone finished three strokes back in third, and Tom Bean was fourth at plus-4.
First-round leader Cash Wiseman shot a 77 Wednesday to finish plus-5, tied with Mike Nowak.
