A 75-year-old motorcyclist was injured Sunday morning when his bike collided with an SUV in Warren.
Knox County Chief Deputy Timothy K. Carroll the motorcycle, operated by John Shane of Rockland, hit a 2005 BMW sport utility vehicle driven by David Kristiansen, 57, of Waldoboro. Kristiansen was not injured.
Shane, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and had to be flown by Lifeflight helicopter to a hospital. He was conscious and alert, but may have suffered internal injuries, Carroll said.
The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 235 and Old Augusta Road.
