I read a letter from Embden’s Jane Mullin voicing her concerns about the amount of water being sucked from the area aquifer (”Aquifers losing millions of gallons of water”). I agree 100 percent with her observations, and I see the same things and feel the same concerns.
The number of trucks coming from the Dead River area, combined with the number coming from the Kingfield pumping station as they pass through the junction of North New Portland, is mind boggling.
