The Oxford Police Department was involved in a foot chase Thursday night for someone who stole a van, led police on a chase and then fled on foot.
A state police dispatcher said that state police cruisers were dispatched to the area, but the motor vehicle pursuit, which started in Oxford around 9:15 p.m. before turning into a foot pursuit in Poland, was being handled by the Oxford Police Department.
A dispatcher for the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, which dispatches for Oxford police, was unable to provide additional details.
