Hardshore Distilling Co. in Portland has been selected by a panel of distillers and spirits experts as a finalist for the Best Craft Gin Distillery in a nationwide competition hosted by USA Today.

The Readers’ Choice Award-winner will be chosen by an online popular vote that lasts until Sept. 11 at noon. The winner will be announced Sept. 15. See all 20 finalists and cast a vote by going to the online poll at 10best.com.

Jordan and Lindsay Milne opened Hardshore Distilling at 53 Washington Ave. in October last year. The distillery’s only product, Hardshore Original Gin, is made with locally grown fresh rosemary and mint. The tasting room sells bottles of the gin as well as a selection of cocktails, and is open 2-8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
