AUGUSTA — Zach Whitney scored off an assist from Hussein Alabraihi with 4:01 left in the game to give the Cony boys soccer team a 3-2 victory over Hampden in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A opener for both teams Friday.

Vlasta Horas and James Olivier also scored for Cony (1-0). Alabraihi also assisted on Horas’ game-tying goal. Nick Robinson made seven saves.

Gavin Partridge scored both goals for Hampden (0-1). Andrew Farnham made two saves.

HALL-DALE 3, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Alec Byron scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to a Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale.

Ashtyn Abbott added a goal for Hall-Dale (1-0), while Tyler Nadeau, Josh Nadeau and Akira Warren each had assists. Jett Boyer needed just one save to earn the shutout.

Andrew Shaw had 35 saves for Spruce Mountain (0-1).

ERSKINE 5, WATERVILLE 1: Alex Cleaves had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles to a KVAC B win in South China.

Sam Falla, Micheal Sprague and Seth Reed each tallied goals for Erskine (1-0). Travis Dow and Caleb Tyler added assists for the Eagles.

Taylor Bielecki tallied the lone goal for Waterville (0-1). Goalkeeper Conrad Ayers had 16 saves.

CAMDEN HILLS 3, MESSALONSKEE 0: Lucas Boetch, Quinn Brown and Marshall Merriam each scored to lift the Windjammers in Oakland.

Boetch made 12 saves in net as well for Camden Hills (1-0). Dawson Charles stopped 11 shots for Messalonskee (0-1).

 MARANACOOK 2, LEAVITT 1: Lauren Clough and Kaylee Jones each scored a goal to lead the Black Bears in Turner.

Katie Ide and Maggie Vigue each added assists for Maranacook (1-0). Skyeler Webb had 13 saves.

Alison Noniewicz scored a goal for Leavitt (0-1).

CARRABEC 6, WINTHROP 2: Aaliyah Wilson-Falcone scored both of the Ramblers’ goals, but it wasn’t enough as host Winthrop fell to the Cobras.

Sam Moody had seven saves, while Brooke Burnham had three saves for Winthrop (0-1).

Michaela Vicneire scored all six of Carrabec’s (1-0) goals.

MONMOUTH 13, BOOTHBAY 0: Audrey Fletcher had four goals and an assist as the Mustangs rolled to an MVC win in Boothbay.

Tia Day had three goals and three assists, while Alicen Burnham added two goals for the Mustangs (1-0). Emily Grandahl, Natalie Grandahl, Taylor Dumont and Emma Johnson each tallied a goal for Monmouth.

Annie Dryer had 13 saves for Boothbay (0-1).

OAK HILL 3, LISBON 1: Julia Noel scored two goals to pace the visiting Raiders to the MVC win.

Rylea Swan added the other goal for Oak Hill (1-0-0). Anna Dodge made six saves, including one on a penalty kick.

Sydney Douglass scored on a flip throw for Lisbon (0-1-0). Anna Willey made five saves.
