SOUTH CHINA — Maya Maxim scored three goals to help the Erskine field hockey team edge Lincoln Academy 4-1 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Monday.

Maxim also had an assist for Erskine (3-1). Tiffany Doyle had a goal and an assist for Erskine, while Olivia Kunesh had an assist.

Taryn Crummet scored the Lincoln (0-3) goal. Lucy Allen made six saves for Erskine, while Jenna Leeman made 12 saves for Lincoln.

BREWER 3, MCI 1: Lucas Nystrom and Gavin Matthieu each scored goals to lift the Witches in a KVAC game in Pittsfield. Jinsu Jang scored the lone goal for the Huskies (1-3).

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 5, WINTHROP 5: Rowan Goebel-Bain scored on a penalty kick with 36 seconds remaining in the game to help the Ramblers earn a MVC tie in Winthrop.

Goebel-Bain finished with a hat trick and two assists for Winthrop (1-0-1), which rallied from a 4-0 halftime deficit. Mike Morales and Jared McLaughlin also scored for the Ramblers. Ben Boulay made seven saves.

Espen Lamburg scored twice for the Falcons (2-0-1) while Motitz Wehrhiem, Seth Peaslee and Garrett Garbarini also scored. Jacob Rainey made six saves.

MONMOUTH 4, CARRABEC 3 (OT): Avery Pomerleau and Gabe Martin each scored and the Mustangs won it in overtime on an own goal in a Mountain Valley Conference game in North Anson.

Bradley Neal had eight saves for the Mustangs (3-0-0) while Dylan Willette had two goals and Bradley Clark had 17 saves to pace the Cobras (0-2-0).

Jacob Atwood also scored for Carrabec.

TEMPLE 6, CHOP POINT 0: Sawyer Derosche scored three goals and Micah Riportella had two assists to lead the Bereans in Durham.

Will Paradis, Deleyni Carr and Isaac Foshay also scored for Temple (3-0-0).
