GARDINER — Junior Casey Bourque’s hat trick led Gardiner to its first win of the season, a 6-3 win over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference boys soccer game Thursday.
Jackson Tweedy, Isaac Gammon and Rojay Richards also scored for Gardiner (1-5-1), while Alic Shorey made six saves.
Sam Craig scored a pair of goals for Lawrence (1-7-1).
HALL-DALE 5, TELSTAR 0: Beaux Vachon scored two goals and Josh Nadeau added a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs rolled to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Bethel.
Alec Byron and Tyler Nadeau also scored for Hall-Dae (6-1-0).
Boston Elliott had 31 saves for the Rebels (4-4-1).
WINTHROP 8, DIRIGO 1: Sam Lattin scored three goals to lead a balanced scoring attack as the Ramblers prevailed in an MVC game in Winthrop.
Rowan Goebel-Bain scored two goals and added an assist for Winthrop (2-4-1).
Dirigo dropped to 0-7-0.
MARANACOOK 4, WATERVILLE 0: Jackson McPhedran had a goal and an assist to lift the Black Bears to the KVAC win in Waterville.
Connor Stockwell, Richard Down and Riley Maddocks also scored for Maranacook. Ryan Worster made four saves.
Ethan Nurick stopped 19 shots for Waterville (2-6-1).
FIELD HOCKEY
MESSALONSKEE 6, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Haley Lowell scored four goals to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.
Autumn Littlefield and Katelyn Smith added a goal apiece for Messalonskee (8-0-0).
Kiara Fournier scored the lone goal for the Eddies (3-7-0). Elise Syphers made six saves.
SKOWHEGAN 5, CONY 0: Five different players scored in a balanced win for the Indians at home.
Maliea Kelso and Alexis Michonski each had a goal and two assists while Haley Carter, Brooke Hubbard and Kayla Furbish had one goal each. Julia Steeves chipped in with three assists. Leah Savage made five saves for Skowhegan (8-1-0).
Cony falls to 3-5-1.

LEWISTON 0, MESSALONSKEE 0, OT: Hannah DelGiudice made eight saves as the Eagles settled for a KVAC A tie in Oakland.
Gemma Landry stopped 15 shots for the Blue Devils (1-4-2). Messalonskee is now 5-1-2.
LAWRENCE 1, GARDINER 0: Ashley Rhoades scored the lone goal to lift the Bulldogs to the KVAC win in Fairfield.
Riley Hanson made five saves for Lawrence (2-6-0).
Bri Perry stopped six shots for Gardiner (0-7-1).
