The Kennebec Valley Chordsmen Barbershop Chorus will host a guest night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the First Congregational Church 7 Eustis Parkway, Waterville.

Barbershop music is a unique acappella music form that brings with it harmonies and chords that aren’t heard in other types of music. The chorus of 25 strong, boasts members from high school age to men in their 80s and all ages in between. The common thread for these men is their love of singing barbershop music together, entertaining in the greater Waterville area and bringing smiles and foot tapping to many an audience member.

For those interested in coming to the guest night, the only requirement is that potential singers are able to stay on pitch and be willing to learn the music, for which voice specific learning CDS are given for easy learning.

For more Information, contact President Juan Lavelle-Rivera at 437- 9274 or otter@uninets.net, website www.kennebecvalleychordsmen.com or find the chorus on Facebook.
