Kevin Hancock, author of “Not for Sale: Finding Center in the Land of Crazy Horse,” will talk about his book at noon Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Fireplace Lounge, Randall Student Center of the University of Maine at Augusta.
Hancock, the president of Hancock Lumber, will share his life-changing journey at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, as part of UMA’S Awareness and Education Diversity Series.
The book chronicles his experiences with the Oglala Sioux Tribe that influenced his life. The book received several awards, including the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award, the 2016 Independent Authors Network Award and the 2016 New York Book Festival Award.
The first 40 attendees will receive a free, autographed copy of the book.
This lunch-and-learn event is free and open to the public.
