Guitar Man-Samuel James will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, 280 Water St. in Gardiner. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

With a voice of grit and gravel, roots James sings with an authenticity lost in time. A modern guitar master, his skill has a depth and range that seems impossible for a man with only two hands.

An award-winning songwriter, one of the world’s most innovative guitar players, and a Moth-featured storyteller, James brings all of this to his stage show. A live performance by James is part theatre concert, part stomping-on-the-porch dance party and part stand-up comedy.

Tickets cost $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, $5 for youth. Tickets are available noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Johnson Hall’s Box Office, call 582-7144 or visit johnsonhall.org.
