WALDOBORO — Gabrielle Wener hit a key 3-pointer and Ally Turner netted five free-throws in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to lead the Messalonskee girls basketball team to a 45-44 win over Medomak Valley in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Monday.

Turner earned a double-double for the Eagles (8-3), scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and adding eight steals. Wener chipped in with 13 points for Messalonskee.

Gabrielle DePatsy led the Panthers (8-2) with 25 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

KENTS HILLS 52, NORTH HAVEN 36: Tiffany McGhie scored 18 points and Lauren Murray added 14 points to lead the Huskies to a win in Kents Hill.

Jarni Hewins added eight points for Kents Hill (6-2).

Layla Sparhawk led North Haven (1-7) with 12 points.

MT. ABRAM 47, HALL-DALE 39: The Roadrunners opened the game with a 24-4 run and held on in the final minutes to earn the Mountain Valley Conference win in Salem.

Summer Ross went 6 for 8 from the free throw line down the stretch to ice the game for Mt. Abram (6-5). Ross finished with a game-high 25 points while Lindsay Huff added 14.

Hall-Dale (2-9) was led by Sabrina Freeman with 20 points.

HAMPDEN 49, GARDINER 33: The host Broncos jumped out to a 27-14 halftime lead and never looked back on their way to the Class A North win.

Bailey Donovan scored 19 points to lead Hampden (10-1).

Gardiner (6-4) was led by Jaycie Stevens with nine points and Leslie Stevens with eight.

Sydney Ames scored 12 points, while Alyssa Everett added 11 points for Skowhegan (8-3).

Lexi Mittelstadt led Mt. Blue (2-9) with 29 points.

MADISON 50, LISBON 34: Sydney LeBlanc scored 19 points to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC win in Lisbon.

Ashley Emery and Lauren Hay each scored 10 points for Madison (10-1). Giana Russo led Lisbon (4-7) with 11 points.

VINALHAVEN 57, TEMPLE ACADEMY 36: The Vikings held Temple to seven points in the first half on the way to the East/West Conference win.

Ashlyn Littlefield led Vinalhaven with 15 points. Gilleyanne Davis-Oakes added 13 points for the Vikings.

Deleyni Carr led Temple with 11 points.

RANGELEY 65, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 18: Natasha Haley had 25 points and nine rebounds as the Lakers took the Class D win at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Rangeley (10-2) held Seacoast to just two points in the first quarter and scoreless in the third. Brooke Egan scored 11 points and grabbed nine boards for the Lakers, while Emily Eastlack had six steals.

Katie Pilkington led Seacoast (6-5) with 13 points.

OCEANSIDE 56, WINSLOW 51: Down 10 points at the half, the Mariners rallied to take the KVAC B win in Rockland.

Gabby Simmons led Oceanside (5-6) with 17 points, while Hope Butler added 13.

Maeghan Bernard led Winslow (8-2) with 18 points. Haley Ward scored 13 points for the Black Raiders.
