A 21-year-old man being sought by Windham police for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run crash Sunday has been located.
Police have charged Tyler Burke with leaving the scene of an accident.
A photograph of the suspect was posted Monday on the police department’s Facebook page, where someone identified him to police.
“Can you assist us in identifying the male pictured? He was involved in a hit and run crash with an elderly couple and left the scene,” Windham police said.
The incident took place around 3 p.m. Sunday near Duck Pond Variety on River Road. Windham police said the elderly couple were stopped on River Road and were trying to make a lefthand turn when the suspect’s car – a green or gray Subaru Forester – rear-ended their vehicle.
