WATERVILLE — A new Lions Club has been formed in Waterville and five new members will be inducted as Lions during the Club’s 5 p.m. meeting set for Monday, Jan. 22, at The Eskelund Community Center at the Maine Children’s Home for Little Wanderers, 93 Silver St., according to a news release from the club.

During the meeting, Lions District Governor Norm Hart will induct the new Lions. Members of the Skowhegan Lions Club, who sponsored the formation of the Waterville Lions Club, will attend.

“I am proud to welcome these men and women into Lions. Waterville will be proud to have such a fine group serving their community,” said Hart, according to the release.

The club will meet at 5 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month in The Eskelund Community Center.

Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. For more information, or to get involved with the Waterville Lions Club, call Jill Huard at 314-1039.
