Two Maine residents are facing multiple charges after a state trooper found heroin and crack cocaine in their car on the Maine Turnpike in Ogunquit.

Maine State Police Trooper Jesse Duda stopped a car for a traffic violation just before midnight Wednesday, police said Friday. The trooper found 51 grams of heroin and 31 grams of crack cocaine in the car, which had been headed north near mile 13.

Jillian Richards, 27, of Waldoboro and Christopher Colbert, 36, of Waterville were each charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin and crack cocaine. They are being held at the York County Jail.

Police said the street value of the drugs was several thousand dollars.
