FREEDOM — A community dance and a contra dance will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at the Dirigo Grange on High Street. Chrissy Fowler will call the dances to traditional music provided by John Pranio on fiddle and harmonica, Toki Oshima on guitar, and Noah Fishman on mandolin and bass, according to a news release from the Mill School.
The contra dance will begin at 8 p.m.
The dance culminates a contra dance residency at the Mill School, which was supported by the outreach fund of Belfast Flying Shoes, a nonprofit that produces monthly community and contra dances in Belfast.
Admission is by donation, on a sliding scale of $1-$10 per person.
