A Westbrook woman has died from injuries she sustained in a car crash in Windham last week.
Maha Dawood, 23, died over the weekend, Windham police said. She was critically injured in a car crash Feb. 1 on River Road that also sent two other people to the hospital.
Dawood was a passenger in a car driven by Mona Dawood, 25, of Westbrook. Dawood and another passenger, 35-year-old Bassam Majeed of Westbrook, were both taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash closed River Road for about two hours.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. They said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
