Mid-Coast Audubon Society is holding its annual spring birdseed sale fundraiser through Feb. 16.

Sunflower meaties (hulled) cost $26 for 25 pounds, $45 for 50 pounds; Black oil sunflower seed cost $16 for 20 pounds, $29 for 40 pounds; Thistle (Nyger) cost $10 for 5 pounds; and suet cost $2 each.

Proceeds from sales will help the local Audubon chapter provide many free educational programs throughout the year.

Oders can be pick up between 10 a.m. and noon Saturday, March 3, at Plants Unlimited, Route 1, in Rockport.

Mid-Coast Audubon members live from Edgecomb to Belfast, and inland to Augusta. Every month, MCAS sponsors an evening program at the Camden Public Library. There are numerous field trips to see birds and learn about the natural history of Maine.
