The University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Orono has a new bulletin to help agricultural and farm employers orient new employees. The bulletin, designed as a checklist, addresses topics such as effective training, communication strategies, and meeting state and federal requirements.
“Orienting New Farm Employees in Maine” was developed by UMaine Extension sustainable agriculture professional Jason Lilley and UMaine Extension associate professor and child and family development specialist Leslie Forstadt.
