Budget approved Saturday: $709,246

Major items approved: borrowing up to $250,000 for a salt and sand shed, $124,000 for summer roads, $225,000 for winter roads.

Candidates elected Friday: Andrea Reichert, selectman; Kristen Mitchell, town clerk; Jessie Campbell, member, School Administrative District 74 board of directors

St. Albans town meeting

Budget approved Saturday: $1.38 million

Major items approved: $293,920 for public works and Highway Department; $6,500 for town hall generator

Major items rejected: $5,000 for new dock for town landing. Town Manager Rhonda Stark opposed it, saying the state might pick up the cost.

Meeting attendance: about 40

Elected to office Friday: Emille Lemire, town clerk; Hiram Weymouth, selectman; Stephen Emery, road commissioner; Lemire, Kimberly Novak and James O’Neill, Budget Committee; Samantha Brown, School Unit 19 board of directors.
