It would seem that it is time to think outside the box when it comes to keeping our kids safe. With today’s technology, wouldn’t it make sense to consider teaching our kids at home via video conferencing?

Having teachers instruct students through dedicated education-based video technology would eliminate the threat of a disturbed person assaulting our kids in what is supposed to be a safe environment. It would also address the teacher shortage as well as take away the need for school resource officers and armed guards in our schools.

In addition, it would also address school funding issues, as there would be no need for large schools, buses, etc.

Again, it seems that we should at least take a look at the viability of changing the way we think about teaching our kids. It would also help struggling communities with school funding issues. Food for thought.
