The event takes place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St.

The 2018 Central and Mid Coast Maine Real Heroes are Officer Phil DiLuca of the Clinton Police Department (Public Service Real Heroes Award), Lincoln and Stacey Wheeler, of Bowdoin, (Good Samaritan Real Heroes Award), Brayden Bashaw, of Auburn, (Community Service Real Heroes Award), Assistant Fire Chief Mike LaPlante, Farmingdale Fire Department (Workplace Safety Real Heroes Award), Thomas Freitas, of Auburn, and Ryan O’Sullivan, of Auburn, Lewiston Public Works (Adult Life Saving Real Heroes Award), Marcia Scott, of Scarborough, (CPR Saves Lives Real Heroes Award), and Joe Maher, of Auburn, (Gift of Life Real Heroes Award).
