AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library will offer March Mindfulness, a series of events to help keep people happy, healthy and centered, at the library at 45 Winthrop St.

The following events are free and open to the public:

• The Creativity Connection is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 12. Author, artist, photographer and Reiki Master Trainer Diane L. Dunton will talk about how anyone can use the arts and creativity for positive impact on health and wellness.

• Introduction to Tai Chi will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 19. Participants can learn about the ancient practice of Tai Chi, a meditative exercise suitable for all ages and abilities, hosted by Linda Harrell of Phoenix Taikwondo. This workshop size is limited, so call or stop by the library to register.

• Meditation for Mindfulness is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24. Meditation can bring mindfulness into one’s life. Marty Soule, of Peaceful Heart Sangha, will give an overview and lead a few short group meditations.

• Organizational Zen is set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 26. Organizational habits expert Janie Downey Maxwell will teach attendees how to get more done. From big projects to everyday tasks, she will help bring organizational peace to one’s life.
