COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Isaiah Harris of Lewiston finished second in the 800 meters, and Kate Hall of Casco helped Georgia win its first NCAA women’s indoor track championship with a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter dash Saturday at Texas A&M University.

Harris, a Penn State junior, finished with a personal-best time of 1 minute, 46.08 seconds, trailing only Michael Saruni (1:45.15) of Texas-El Paso as he matched his runner-up finish at last year’s outdoor championships. It’s the fourth time Harris has earned All-America honors.

Hall, a junior, scored in a second event following her victory Friday night in the long jump. She was clocked in 7.24 seconds in the 60 final, which was won by LSU’s Aleia Hobbs at 7.07.

DIVISION III: Emma Egan of Yarmouth, Brittany Bowman of Camden and four Bates College athletes earned All-America status on the final day of the NCAA Division III championships in Birmingham, Alabama.

Egan, a sophomore at Williams who won the 2017 outdoor high jump championship, finished third in that event Saturday with a best height of 5 feet, 8 1/2 inches. First-place Cirrus Robinson of Ohio Wesleyan and runner-up Helene Hall of Williams also cleared the same height, but with fewer misses.

Egan also finished eighth in the pentathlon on Friday.

Bowman, a senior at Tufts, added a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 (9:39.90) to her victory Friday in the 5,000. Katherine Cook of Bates was close behind in seventh place (9:44.32).

Bates senior Sally Ceesay placed second in the triple jump (40-4), Bates junior Ayden Eickhoff was fourth in the women’s 800 (2:11.47), and Bates senior Jack Kiely was seventh in the mile (4:12.57).

BASEBALL

MAINE SPLITS: Colin Ridley singled home the tiebreaking run in the 10th inning as the Black Bears (4-10) won a doubleheader opener, 7-5, before losing 12-1 against Texas-Rio Grande Valley (9-7) at Edinburg, Texas.

Maine overcame a 4-0 deficit in Game 1 with five runs in the fifth, highlighted by an RBI single by Hernen Sardinas and a two-run double by Danny Casals.

The Vaquaros tied the game with an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth.

Sardinas went 3 for 4 and scored twice, Casals was 2 for 4, and Brandon Vicens added three hits.

Cody Laweryson picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief.

Sardinas had two hits and drove in Maine’s run in Game 2.

ST. JOSEPH’S SPLITS WITH WPI: Ben Gravel singled home Joey Murphy in the bottom of the sixth inning to give St. Joseph’s (4-5) a 5-4 win in the second game of doubleheader against the Engineers (5-5) at Winter Haven, Florida.

Chris Gerossie homered in each game for the Monks.

WPI won the opener, 6-3.

WIS-LA CROSSE 12, SOUTHERN MAINE 11: Zach Carney hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to break a 10-10 tie and lead the Eagles (2-0) past the Huskies (0-1) at Auburndale, Florida.

Kip Richards went 4 for 5 with a double for USM, Sam Troiano had three hits in his collegiate debut, and Jake Dexter drove in three runs.

BATES SWEEPS WORCESTER STATE: Dan Trulli singled home Jon Lingren in the bottom of the seventh inning as Bates (2-6) capped a doubleheader sweep against Worcester State (0-5) with a 4-3 win in Northborough, Massachusetts.

In the first game, Zach Avila’s RBI single in the top of the 12th gave Bates a 3-2 win.

BOWDOIN SPLITS WITH BRANDEIS: Bowdoin (1-2) used a four-run rally in the fifth inning to salvage a doubleheader split against Brandeis (2-3) with a 12-9 victory in Northborough, Massachusetts.

Bowdoin took a 6-0 lead in the first inning with the help of a three-run homer by Ejazz Jiu and a two-run blast from Connor Lee, then fell behind 7-6 before Jiu tied it with an RBI single in the fifth. Brandan O’Neil singled home the go-ahead run, and Jack Wilhoite followed with a two-run double.

Brandeis won the opener, 8-3.

SMCC SPLITS: Amos Herrin struck out 11 and needed just 90 pitches in a 5-0 victory as Southern Maine Community College opened its season with a doubleheader split against Waubonsee Community College in Lakeland, Florida.

The Seawolves were held to two hits in a 4-2 loss in Game 1.

SOFTBALL

BATES SPLITS: Andrea Russo was 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles as Bates (8-2) posted a 15-5 win over Gordon (0-1) in a six-inning game in Clermont, Florida.

Russo also had two hits in a 2-0 loss to UMass-Dartmouth (2-0).

MAINE LOSES TWICE: Maddie Decker went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs for Maine (4-10) in a 7-4 loss to Robert Morris at Tampa, Florida.

Maine also lost to South Dakota State, 8-0 in five innings.

MEN’S LACROSSE

AMHERST 16, BOWDOIN 15: Matt Solberg scored the winner with 4:08 remaining as the Mammoths (3-0, 2-0 NESCAC) beat the Polar Bears (0-2, 0-2) in Brunswick.

Brett Kujala paced Bowdoin with four goals. Tim Bulens and Matthew Crowell each added three goals and an assist.

COLBY 10, HAMILTON 8: Mason Brady broke an 8-8 tie with two goals in a 16-second span as the Mules (1-1, 1-1 NESCAC) edged the Continentals (1-2, 0-2) in Waterville.

C.J. Hassan and Tucker Dietrick also scored twice for Colby.

MIT 9, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 8: Mitch Mullin scored five goals for UNE (2-1), but Jack Strachan got back-to-back goals midway through the fourth quarter to lift MIT (2-1) to a win in Biddeford.

WESLEYAN 13, BATES 11: The Cardinals (2-1, 2-0 NESCAC) rallied from a four-goal deficit to beat the Bobcats (1-3, 0-2) in Lewiston.

Matt Chlastawa led Bates with four goals and an assist.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

SOUTHERN MAINE 12, CASTLETON 9: Aliza Jordan recorded three goals and three assists to lead the Huskies (1-1) past the Spartans (1-2) in Castleton, Vermont.

Colleen Fleming and Alex Farley also scored three goals apiece.

AMHERST 16, BOWDOIN 10: Kara Finnerty scored four goals for Bowdoin (2-1, 1-1 NESCAC) in a loss to the Mammoths (3-0, 2-0) at Amherst, Massachusetts.

HAMILTON 11, COLBY 9: The Continentals (1-2, 1-2 NESCAC) closed the game with five straight goals to beat the Mules (0-2, 0-2) in Clinton, New York.

Grace Langmuir and Kendall Smith each scored twice for Colby.

WESLEYAN 9, BATES 7: Annie Duke scored three goals for Bates (3-2, 0-2 NESCAC) in a loss to Wesleyan (3-0, 2-0) at Lewiston.
