Sen. Susan Collins is definitely a good example of the “principled leaders” that Jim Fossel is calling for. (“We need more principled leaders,” Feb. 25).
Not afraid to work across the aisle, she has gathered the support of nearly a fourth of Congress for the life-saving legislation called the Reach Every Mother and Child Act. Passing this bill means working to end the millions of preventable deaths of mothers and children in our world every year. It calls for more efficiency in government, instead of new money, with clear targets and follow-up evaluations that make sure this life-saving work stays on track.
Add your voice to Sen. Collins to help save lives by asking other senators and representatives to support and pass this bill.
