Maine Connections Academy is enrolling students in grades 7-12 for the 2018-19 school year. Up to 429 students can enroll for the upcoming school year on a first-come, first-served basis.

The school is a public education option where students can learn online from anywhere there is an Internet connection. The school offers an award-winning curriculum, including Advanced Placement and honors options, numerous electives and Career Technical Education courses, according to a news release from the school.

As a public school, all MCA students are required to take the same state assessments as traditional school students to meet Maine’s state academic standards. In addition to the variety of social experiences offered through the school, including numerous field trips, clubs and activities, students also can participate in local internships and join MCA’s National Honor Society chapter.

In-person and virtual information sessions, as well as a “Sneak Peek into Virtual School” on-demand video, are available.
