I am also one of the customers that have been overcharged on my electricity (“Maine regulators will investigate shocking increase in some CMP customers’ bills,” March 20). I looked on my bank statement and was charged twice for the same month. I called Central Maine Power and was told by a representative that I was not charged.
People should check out their bank statements with their bills and they will probably see the problem lies there, where CMP has charged them twice for the last few months. That’s why their bills are so high. My friend took her bills also and matched it to her bank statement, and this is how she found duplicate amounts. CMP should listen to their customers and do the right thing.
