WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Christopher Bec had three hits, including a solo home run as the University of Maine baseball team beat Hartford 6-1 to earn a doubleheader split on Saturday.

Bryce Walker hit a home run in the eighth inning as Hartford (4-15, 3-3 America East) won the second game 1-0.

Nick Silva pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits, but took the loss for Maine (5-19, 2-1) in the first game.

John Ariel pitched six innings of relief to earn the win in the second game, which was seven innings. He allowed four hits, walked two and struck out four.

COLBY SPLITS WITH KEUKA: Matt Treveloni had three hits and three RBI as the Mules (1-1) jumped out to a nine-run lead through four innings, and held on to defeat the Wolves (4-4) 13-4 in first game of a doubleheader in Auburndale, Florida.

George Schmidt had two hits and two RBI, Will Phillips had four hits and three runs scored, and William Wessman added two RBI for Colby.

Dakota Skinner had two hits and two RBI in the second game to lead the Wolves to a 5-2 win over the Mules.

MEN’S LACROSSE

WILLIAMS 17, BATES 8: Brendan Hoffman had four goals and an assist as the Ephs (3-3, 2-2 NESCAC) beat the Bobcats (4-4, 1-3) in Lewiston.

Cory Lund and Kevin Stump each added three goals for Williams.

Clarke Jones had four goals and an assist for Bates.

CONN. COLLEGE 11, COLBY 10: The Camels (6-1, 3-1 NESCAC) took an 11-7 lead in the third quarter and held on to beat the Mules (2-3, 1-3) in New London, Connecticut.

C.J. Hassan had three goals and an assist for Colby, which scored three times in the fourth quarter. Tucker Dietrick added two goals and two assists.

P.J. Kelleher had two goals and four assists for Connecticut College.

BOWDOIN 17, MIDDLEBURY 8: Brett Kujala scored four goals, while Shawn Daly and Nick Conway each added two scores to lead the Polar Bears (4-2, 2-2 NESCAC) past the Panthers (3-3, 1-3) at Brunswick.

John Young made 13 saves for Bowdoin. Middlebury’s A.J. Kucinski scored four goals.

CASTLETON 15, SOUTHERN MAINE 7: Jason Sedell scored five goals and Kevin McCarthy added four goals to lead the Spartans (1-4) to a victory over the Huskies (1-5) in Castleton, Vermont.

Seth Wing scored three goals, while Ethan Ouellette had a goal and three assists for USM.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

BATES 11, WILLIAMS 10: The Bobcats (5-3, 1-3 NESAC) scored six straight goals in the second half on their way to a win over the Ephs (3-4, 1-3) in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Katie Allard scored twice during the run and finished with three goals. Allison Dewey also had three goals, while Teal Otley had two, and Summer Dias, Avery Prince and Sydney Howard also scored.

Eliza Statile had 14 saves, including one with three seconds left to preserve the lead.

MIDDLEBURY 14, BOWDOIN 4: Emma McDonagh, Casey O’Neill, and Hollis Perticone each scored two goals to lead the Panthers (6-0, 4-0 NESCAC) past the Polar Bears (6-2, 2-2) at Middlebury, Vermont.

Eliza Denious and Katherine Miller each scored two goals for Bowdoin, which trailed 10-2 at halftime.

ST. JOSEPH’S 19, ALBERTUS MAGNUS 3: Elyse Caiazzo scored five goals and Kayla Kelly added three goals as the Monks (5-0, 2-0 GNAC) cruised past the Falcons (1-2, 0-2) at New Haven, Connecticut.

Brittney Arsenault, Madison Beaulieu and Josie Ring each added two goals for St. Joe’s.

Courtney Cacace finished with two goals for Albertus Magnus.
