Close down Long Creek Youth Development Center. The system is not failing; it has failed. An 11-year old boy, with mental disorders, was abused (“Our View: What is an 11-year-old with mental illness doing in prison?” March 16).
I am a mother, grandmother and a great-grandmother.
They should place the guards and the people that run the place in jail. We are paying these men to abuse children. If this is pushed under the rug more will come out of the woodwork.
1. Find help for the children.
2. Get rid of people who were there.
3. Please help the children and adults with mental disease.
I hope the people that did this do not have children.
God bless this 11-year-old who has mental disorders and never knew why this happened. Please Jesus help the children.
