Joshua Davis will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. in Rockland.
Davis blends folk with gritty rock ‘n’ roll. His roots-flavored songs reflect a hardworking Michigan family man’s life, through dark, broken, hopeful and triumphant times.
Prior to his 2015 appearances as a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice” (season 8), Davis had toured heavily and released five albums with his previous band Steppin’ In It, then five solo albums. His signature lyricism and deft acoustic guitar work are apparent on his recent release “The Way Back Home,” where his rough-n-tumble grit mixes with an undeniable Midwesterner’s charm, for a soaring vocal performance.
Tickets cost $15 in advance, or $18 at the door.
