WATERVILLE — Dancing with the Realtors, Season 7, is scheduled for 7 p.m., Friday, April 6, at the Thomas College Mahaney Gymnasium, 180 West River Road. A cocktail social will begin at 6 p.m. with a performance by Waterville High School musicians.

Over the past six seasons, the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors has raised more than $100,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Last year’s event raised more than $27,000 alone, according to a news release from Jill Huard, associate broker, realtor at Century 21 Surette Real Estate.

At the event, 15 local competitors will dance with professional ballroom dancers from Aquarius Ballroom Dance Studios and then judged on their performance.

This year will feature two levels of dancing, an amateur competition where dancers are learning the Fox Trot and East Coast Swing, and a professional level, where the dancers will perform the Salsa.

As in past years, event organizers will auction off the third judges seat to the highest bidder.

Tickets cost $25 each or $200-$280 per table. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available throughout the show.

All proceeds from ticket sales, donations and the auctions will benefit Habitat for Humanity and Western Maine Community Action in Farmington.
