WATERVILLE — A business breakfast on Process Improvement: Lean-Failure Demand will begin at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Spann Student Commons Summit Room on Thomas College’s campus at 180 West River Road. The event will be hosted by the college and Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.
Megan Hart, of Cianbro Corporation, will talk about how to make incremental and continuous improvements in a businesses processes, as well as how to manage for results, in order to take the business and team to the next level.
Hart is a business process improvement leader who works with finance and accounting at Cianbro to make business processes more efficient. Hart believes that by creating efficient processes across the organization, the company will increase its profit. Making processes better for each individual responsible for them will also provide an environment where employees are more satisfied coming to work each day. Hart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Maine Augusta and a Master’s in Business Administration from Husson University.
The cost of the business breakfast is $18 for members and $25 at the door and for nonmembers. Breakfast is included with the reservation.
