Fire damaged the exterior of the Mount Blue Motel early Saturday morning on Wilton Road in Farmington, according to a fire official.
The fire was reported around 3:15 a.m., Farmington Fire Department Deputy Chief Tim Hardy said.
It was mostly contained to a front outside wall but also affected “a couple of rooms,” Hardy said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but the blaze does not appear to be suspicious, he said.
No injuries were reported.
The motel is owned by Rick Collins. A woman who answered the phone there Saturday declined to comment on the incident.
Hardy said he did not have an estimate of the cost of repairing the damage, but he said the motel is insured.
